Ayatollah Hakim: "Regional intrigues are behind recent terror attacks"

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Saeed Hakim, Iraqi Shia jurisprudent, issued a statement to condemn the increasing terror attacks against Iraqi citizens saying that the incidents endanger security and peace in the region.He denounced the recent terror attack against Shias in mosques, stadiums or pilgrims of Imam Hussein (AS) and noted,” These attacks prove a regional intrigue is underway whose threats endanger security and peace in the region.” Grand cleric demanded Iraqi government and judiciary power to prosecute the terrorists and protect the lives of Iraqi citizens, particularly the followers of Ahlul Bayt (AS). Iraqi scholar also urged international bodies and regional countries to condemn these inhumane crimes since these attacks are a genocide inspired by the culture of bloodshed which is violation of all international laws. Different parts of Iraq have been target of several booby traps and armed terror attacks which have led to killing and injuring of many civilians.End item/ 149
